Everyday She-Rose

Our Everyday She-Rose Award honors a woman who has overcome incredible obstacles to selflessly give back and uplift her community.

Recipients are generally “unsung heroes” who work to improve their communities and the lives of those who live in it without seeking credit or accolades for their tireless efforts. These resourceful, resilient women often start out by funding their endeavors out of their own pockets.

Each time, Women Empowered (WE) selects one woman to receive this honor. The award includes a $5,000 donation to support the recipient’s work of direct service, philanthropy, or raising awareness around a particular community need. The awardee is also featured at WE’s annual fundraising event to bring further attention and attract additional resources to the cause.
